Hobart Bond age 99 of Fairfield went to be with the Lord on Tuesday September 10, 2013. He was born Christmas Day December 25, 1913 in Tyner, Kentucky, the son of the late Arthur and Mary (McWhorter) Bond.

On October 25, 1936 in Kentucky he married Laura Mae Evans and she preceded him in death in 2010. Mr. Bond contributed much to Butler County as a long time home builder and as the owner of Bond's Restaurant on Grand Boulevard in Hamilton for many years. He was a member of the Benjamin Franklin Masonic Lodge and also preached at the Church of God of Union Assembly.

He is survived by one son Donald ( and wife Pam) Bond; two daughters Shirley (and fiancé James "Sonny" Muir) Howard and Joetta (and husband Gary) Smith; 7 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers Arthur ( and wife Nola) Bond and Odus Bond; one sister Reva Whited and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Bond was also preceded in death by 2 brothers Delbert Bond and Roy Bond and 2 sisters Lucy Bolser and Geraldine Kent.

Visitation 10-11 AM on Saturday September 14, 2013 at the Church of God of Union Assembly, 1814 Millville Road, Hamilton. A Masonic service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday at the church followed by the funeral ceremony with Pastor Brent Sowder, officiating. Burial to follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.
