Oakland, Aug. 10. — The funeral of the late Colonel J. P. McElroy took place this afternoon under the auspices of Company A. Veteran Reserves. A number of Grand Army men were present. The Rev. E.R. Dille officiated. The interment was at Mountain View Cemetery."
