June Elaine (Steily) Gibson, 87, of Palmyra, passed away in Columbia Cottage, Campbelltown, PA on Tuesday, September 10, 2013. She was born Sunday, December 6, 1925 in Tower City to the late Claire and Eva (Adams) Steily. Her father passed at a young age and she was raised by her step-father, Clyde H. Weaver, most affectionately known as "Hoppy." She was predeceased in 1986 by her loving husband Leo C. Gibson.

June enjoyed keeping her hands busy crocheting. She was a vibrant woman and was loved by everyone that met her. Most importantly she was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She is survived by 3 daughters, Linda Fetterhoff and husband Larry of Palmyra, Elaine Reed of Palmyra, and Lori Zimmerman and husband John of Palmyra; a son, Daniel Gibson of Palmyra; 5 grandchildren, David Gilmore and wife Tonya of Etters, Michael Mount and wife Lisa of Myrtle Beach, SC, Jason Mount of Palmyra, Christopher Peters and wife Lorraine of Dover, DE, and Jordan Zimmerman of Palmyra; 6 great-grandchildren; a sister, Doris Kohr; and a sister-in-law, Janice Steily. She was predeceased by 2 brothers, William and Robert Steily.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 13th at 11 AM at Rothermel Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 25 West Pine St., Palmyra, PA 17078 with Pastor Edward J. Rowand officiating. Family and friends are invited for viewing from 10 AM until time of the services. Burial will follow at Campbelltown United Christian Cemetery, Campbelltown.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her honor to Masonic Village Hospice, 1 Masonic Drive, Elizabethtown, PA 17022 Attention Hospice. Condolences and memories may be shared at www.rothermelfuneralhome.com
