A member of Bandana United Methodist Church, June was an excellent homemaker. She loved to cook for her family and friends using mostly vegetables from her own garden. June was a loving, caring, affectionate and compassionate woman, who never met a stranger. Whether she was standing in a line at a local store or sitting in a waiting room, June always enjoyed talking to people.
Strangers could sense how caring and compassionate she was when they shared a little bit of themselves with her. And even though her life here on earth ended suddenly, her family and friends take comfort in knowing they'll see her again in Heaven.
Mrs. Turner is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Robert Turner; her daughter Donna Moss and husband Paul of Heath; sons, Gary Turner and wife Debbie of Metropolis and Greg Turner and wife Beverly of Metropolis; seven grandchildren, Jared Moss, Darin Moss, Travis Moss, Bobby Turner, Jacob Hall, Matthew Turner and Madisson Turner; three great-grandchildren, Tristan Turner, Kaleigh Moss, Jackson Moss; four sisters; one brother; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one sister; and her parents, James Moore and
Estelle Rushing Moore Tate.
Funeral services for Mrs. Turner will be at 1 p.m. Friday, September 13, 2013, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with the Rev. Robert McKinney officiating. Burial will follow at LaCenter Memorial Gardens.
