Fred M. DiLeo, 81 of Waterbury, formerly of Southington and Leesburg,FL, died Tuesday at Wolcott View Manor. For the past seven years his devoted wife has been Antoinette (Perugini) DiLeo. He was predeceased by his first wife Lucy (DiStefano) DiLeo and they were married for over 50 years.

Born in Waterbury on Nov. 21 , 1925, the son of the late Nunzio and Teresa (Favale) DiLeo. He was a US Army Air Corps. Veteran of WWII. He worked for Joseph McNellis as an electrician in Waterbury. Then Fred went back to school and earned his teaching certificate from Central CT State College. He was a teacher at Oliver Wolcott Technical School in Torrington, and Kaynor Tech in Waterbury.

He truly enjoyed his retirement job as a limo driver for Expressway Auto in Waterbury for 10 years. Fred was a life member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW).

In addition to his wife Antionette, he is survived by his 3 children and their spouses, Joseph and Penny DiLeo of Waterbury, John and Mary DiLeo of Cheshire, Rosemary and James Fleming of Hawthorne, CA, a brother Joseph DiLeo of Southington, 2 sisters MaryAnn LaRosa of Southington and Carmela Perillo of Waterbury, 4 grandchildren, Derek, Sara, and Jessica Fleming and Monica DiLeo, a great granddaughter Arianna Rose Fleming.

Besides his wife Lucy, he was predeceased by a brother, Angelo DiLeo, and sisters Elizabeth Triano, Antoinette DeCarlo and Maria DiLeo.
