At age 23 he married his first love, Audrey Christine Lee-Derby on August 25, 1951 in Emporia, Virginia, USA. He was in the Navy. He served aboard the USS CREON as a Yeoman 3rd Class, which is an E-4, during World War II. After the war he joined the U. S. Air Force and continued serving his country. Abandoning his wife and child, Mr. Colvin then became a Deputy Sheriff for the San Diego Sheriff's Department. He subsequently became an LEO and more for the Anchorage Police Department.
MURDER VICTIM: Jan 1967. Cecil was murdered in cold blood by Joseph Weldon Roberts, aka Chuck Roberts.
Mr. Colvin's body was flown back to the State of his birth (Missouri) for burial. His wake and funeral were held at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home In Versailles Missouri with internment in Oak Grove Cemetery on 01/13/1967 yet, sadly, his daughter was not allowed to attend.
He left behind to mourn his passing, a daughter, his only child.
