PENSACOLA, Fla. -- Harry N. Hill, 76, passed away April 14, 2009, after a short battle with cancer, in Pensacola, Fla. He was currently living in Brewton, Ala. Harry was born June 21, 1932, in Rexburg, Idaho. He served in the U.S. Army for three years. Upon returning, he attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, and obtained his CPA degree. He took a job with Thiokol and then went on to fulfill a 30-year career with the Department of Energy, retiring in 1994. Harry enjoyed golf, snow skiing, fly fishing, waterskiing, boating and camping. He had the opportunity later in life to enjoy traveling and several cruises with his loving wife. He is survived by his wife, Helen Faris Hill; three children, Jennifer (John) Hill Reeve and of Lafayette, Ind., Michael Hill of Salt Lake City, and Wendy Hill of Albuquerque, N.M.; two stepdaughters, Janet (Don) Faris Grosso and Carol (Joe) Faris Gordy of Brewton, Ala.; three grandchildren, Elizabeth, Samantha and Nathan Reeve; three stepgrandchildren, Taylor Grosso, John Grosso and Kelly (Jake) Grosso Billingsley; a new great-granddaughter, Ollie Billingsley; four sisters, Karen (Ron) Smith of Idaho Falls, Colleen (Dale) Winn of Rexburg, Dorothy (Curtis) Rutledge of Hayden and Joyce Denning of Salem, Ore.; and his special friend, Coco (his dog). He was preceded in death by his parents, Talmage and Alta Hill of Rexburg. Graveside services were held Friday, April 17, 2009, in Brewton, Ala. Harry was a huge supporter of the Humane Society.
