The funeral for Russell Numand Jacobson will be held at Monday, October 4, 2010 at 10:00 AM at the First Congregational Church in Kulm, ND with Pastor Ray DeLaurier officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, October 3, 2010 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM with a prayer service at 6:00 PM at Dahlstrom Funeral Home in Kulm ND. Burial will be at Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, ND at 2 PM on Monday, October 4, 2010.
Russell N. Jacobson son of Joseph and Gunhild (Rosell) Jacobson was born December 28, 1939 in Dawson, ND. He attended school in Dawson, ND and graduated from Dawson High School in 1958. He enlisted in the US Army on June 28, 1958 and was a member of the 141st Engineer Combat Battalion. He was discharged on May 8, 1959. He married Sharon Bitz on May 17, 1960 in Steele, ND. He worked for Arneson's Plumbing and Heating, Bob's Plumbing and Heating and Greenwood Plumbing, all Jamestown, Northern Improvement, Bismarck and later Border States Paving, Fargo until his illness in 1999.
He married Kathy Lautt on November 21, 1998 in Kulm, ND. He was a member of the First Congregational Church, Kulm, ND and American Legion Clifford Ost Post 260, Fredonia. Russell enjoyed crossword puzzles, woodworking, especially fiddle and polka music and was a great cook. His greatest joy was spending time with his family.
