George Schaffer, age 69 years died at 1 o'clock this morning at his residence, 137 Wallace avenue, following an Illness of two weeks. Mr. Schaffer who has been a resident of Mount Vernon for the past seven years, was a brewer and was connected with a large concern in New York city. He was a member of New York lodge. No. 1, B. P. O. E.(Elks), and Is survived by his wife, Mrs. Minnie Schaffer, a son, Theodore, and two daughters Miss Olga, of this city, and Mrs. Meurer, of Flushing, L. I. The funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at his late residence and the Interment which will be private, will be at Kensico cemetery.
