Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 11, at Shell Creek Lutheran Church in Newman Grove, with the Rev. Harlan Heier officiating. Burial will be in the Shell Creek Lutheran Cemetery, Newman Grove, Iowa.
Ingvald Carl George Williamson was born January 20, 1911, in Newman Grove, the son of William and Elizabeth (Vaage) Williamson. He received his education in the Newman Grove schools. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He married Marion Louise Severin on January 20, 1952, in Guthrie Center, Iowa. To this union five children were born. Together they farmed Northwest of Newman Grove. He was a member of Shell Creek Lutheran Church. He enjoyed being outdoors, reading the paper and visiting with family and friends. Above all, he loved the time he spent with his family.
Surviving are one son, John Williamson of Newman Grove; four daughters, Elizabeth and Janet Williamson, both of Newman Grove, Jean Williamson of Stanton and Carolyn Williamson of Norfolk; one granddaughter; one brother, William Williamson of Albion; two brothers-in-law, Donald (Ellen) Severin of Carroll, IA, and Walter (Esther) Severin of Adair, IA; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Richard Williamson.
