Jack was retired from the West Virginia Department of Highways and a decorated veteran of U.S. Army in World War II. He was a member of the Maranatha Baptist Church, Sissonville.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl Jenkins Ray; father, Frank N. Ray; mother, Anna Elizabeth Doersch Ray; sister, Marian Francisco; brother, Myron C. Ray.
Surviving is his son, Ricky Ray and wife, Kathy; daughter, Helen Fisher and husband, George, all of Sissonville; sisters, Sherry Slater of Charleston, Beverly Fricke of Rhinelander, Wis.; half sisters, June Doersch Keeling of San Angelo, Texas, Jean Doersch of Cleveland, Ohio; half brother, Kenny Doersch of Palm Grove, Fla., Robert Doersch of Pittsburg, Pa.; six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and “special buddy”, Cassy.
