Iva was a graduate of Roosevelt High School and attended Draughon's Business College. On September 28, 1941 she was married to James Harrison Martin Jr. Iva ran an antique shop in Snyder for many years before moving to Round Rock.
Iva is preceded in death by her husband, James Harrison Martin Jr., siblings, Leon Marx, Birdie Lee Marx, Donald Marx, Dovie Rice, and Katherine Wright.
Iva is survived by her son's, J. Mike Martin of Round Rock, Ron L. Martin of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, grandchildren, Leigh Martin, Toni Greatorex, Autumn Martin, Jazmin Martin,four great grandchildren, siblings, Lonnie Marx, and his wife Francis, Viola Corbitt and her husband T.J., and sister Ruby Hollers.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday September 11, 2013 at Hillside Memorial Gardens in Snyder, Texas. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4: 00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
