Ruby Elizabeth Roberson Dean, 91, died at Hospice Sylvia's House on Saturday September 7, 2013.
Born in Gainesville Florida November 14, 1921 to Henry L and Janie E. Roberson, she was a long time resident of Ocala, Florida and a member of First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband John Lee Dean, a daughter, Paula Atkerson (Phil), and a son Steven Dean (Linda), twin sisters Zelma Underwood and Thelma Limpus, and a brother Dewey Roberson (Marilyn). Also remaining to cherish her memory is a granddaughter, Marni Atkerson (Rob), two grandsons, John B Dean (Melissa) and Joshua S Dean…and three great grandchildren, Cody McCoy (Kasey), Tyler McCoy and Samantha Dean.
She and John enjoyed many years of traveling throughout the US in their Airstream where she was inspired to paint scenic views she saw along the way.
Visitation will be held at Roberts Bruce Chapel East, 2739 SE Maricamp Road, Ocala, Florida on Tuesday, September 10th, 2013 from 6 to 8 PM. Services will be held at Good Shepherd Memorial Gardens Chapel, 5050 SW 20th Street, on the following day, Wednesday September 11 at 12 Noon.
Interment will follow at Good Shepherd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Marion County.
