GAWEL – Diane M. (Radwanski), 51, Richland Township, passed away March 31, 2007, at home. Born June 29, 1955, in Windber, daughter of Jacob F., who passed away March 7, 1968, and Ann M. (Koharchik) Radwanski, who passed away Dec. 4, 2005. Survived by husband of 30 years, Donald A. Gawel, whom she married on May 22, 1976. Sister of Louis T. Koharchik, and wife, Barbara, Johnstown; Judie Ann, wife of Richard Kelly, Richland; Jacob D. Radwanski, and wife, Karen, Richland; and Cynthia M., wife of James Mattern, Tyrone. Also survived by sisters-in-law, Elaine, wife of Dominick Catalfamo, Johnstown, and Delores J., wife of Dennis Boes, Johnstown; and numerous nieces and nephews. A 1973 graduate of Greater Johnstown Vo-Tech. Employed as secretary at Market Basket, Johnstown, since 1971. Co-owner of Hi-Way Drive In Theater in Carrolltown and the Bar-Ann Drive In Theater in Portage and previous operator of the Silver Drive In Theater in Johnstown for 12 years. Member of the National Association of Theater Owners. Diane enjoyed duckpin bowling, ceramics, stained glass crafting and boating. She will be sadly missed by her pet dogs, Joe and Moe, and her cat, Mugzy. Diane fought a courageous battle with cancer for the past 10 years. Member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Windber, where funeral Mass will be co-celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, the Very Rev. Leonard E. Voytek, VF, and the Rev. George Koharchik, cousin of the deceased. Committal, Richland Cemetery. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the William Kisiel Funeral Home, Windber, where vigil for the deceased will be held.
