Edwin Marshall, 63, of LaPorte, died Sept. 8, 2013, at IU Health LaPorte Hospital.
He was born in North Judson, IN, on Dec. 19, 1949, to Earl and Evanoy (Crase) Marshall.
Edwin worked at Roll Coater for 20 years. At the age of 50, he went to school and became a registered nurse. He enjoyed fishing, boating, cooking and traveling, and he loved his granddaughters.
On June 1, 1987, he married Julie (Droege) Marshall, who survives.
Also surviving are his beloved sons, Tim (Sarah) Marshall of LaPorte, Ian (Cheryl Santana) Marshall of Westville, IN, and Evan Marshall of LaPorte; granddaughters, Elizabeth, Eve, Anna and Ella Marshall; nine nephews; nine nieces; and brothers, William (Linda) Marshall of Wanatah, IN, and David Marshall of North Judson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Carl Marshall.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 13, at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, LaPorte. Visitation will be held Thursday, Sept. 12, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the service. Burial will take place at Patton Cemetery, LaPorte, following the service with full military honors conducted by the LaPorte Honor Guard.
