Obituary in the Carroll Journal, Carrollton, Ohio, Thursday, September 3, 1936.
Mrs. Eliza Parker, 80, died August 27 at the home of her son, T. H. Westfall, near Malvern, of complications. She was born near Carrollton, a daughter of Hiram and Hester Berlin. She was united in marriage to Theodore Westfall in 1876, who died in 1889. To this union one son was born, Thomas H. Westfall. Five years later Mrs. Westfall was married to Andrew Hess of near Dellroy, who died in 1910. In 1914 Mrs. Hess was married to Joseph Parker of Leavittsville. The deceased spent her entire life in Carroll County, and was a member of the United Presbyterian Church of Carrollton for 43 years. Surviving is one son, T. H. Westfall; a sister, Mrs. Anna McCray of Columbus, Nebraska; five nephews, two nieces and three step-children. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at Carrollton United Presbyterian Church conducted by Rev. R. P. Cooke. Interment was in Grandview Cemetery.
