Mr. Hubert Earl Howell, age 76, died Sunday morning, September 8, 2013, at his home after a brief illness. The Bulloch County native lived most of his life in the Statesboro area. Mr. Howell served in the National Guard, and was employed with Union Camp for 40 years and was of the Methodist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Erastus and Bernice Howell; and a brother, Charles Howell.

Mr. Howell is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Howell of Statesboro; two sons, Robbie (Lori) Howell of Portal and Mike (Theresa) Howell of Statesboro; two daughters, Patty (Steve) Smith of Pembroke and Teresa (Ronnie) Cooper of Statesboro; one brother, Arthur Howell of Hopeulikit; one sister, Joyce Howell of Dudley, N.C.; 10 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service for Mr. Howell will be held in the chapel of Hodges-Moore Funeral Home at 3 p.m. with Elder Michael Newman officiating. Burial will be in Bulloch Memorial Gardens.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the organization of choice.

Hodges-Moore Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
