He loved working in some of South Carolina's most prestigious restaurants including Magnolia's, Cypress, Blue Marlin, Summit Club, and Cotton Grill. Up until his death, he worked as a traveling Chef for Holiday Touch Retirement. Nick accepted Christ in his life and was baptized in 2012 at Northside Baptist Church. Even though Nick struggled with his addiction to alcohol, he knew where his future would take him. Now, he will greet his family along with his Grandfather, George Fairhart; Grandmother, Jean Fairhart; and Grandfather, William Brock over an unbelievable meal.
He is survived by his Dad and Mom, Ron and Linda Brock; brother, Richard Brock (Susan); nephew, Will Brock; niece, Hope Brock; grandmother, Sarah Brock; uncle, Tommy (Tory) Brock; aunt, Tammy (Terry) Lundy, aunt, Carol (Mark) Berenbrok; aunt, Mary Jean (Aubrey) Burroughs; uncle, David (Una) Fairhart; and numerous cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at Northside Baptist Church. Reverend Rocky Purvis will officiate. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery and Gardens. The family will greet friends from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday evening at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington.
