Steven has a brother, Nahum Maddocks, who died in Swanville, Maine on January 8, 1868 and who is buried in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Swanville. Located on Hobbs Road, Community Cemetery is .3 miles in on the left on the dirt road from Stone Road, another dirt road. From Rte. 11, take Hicks Road, then onto Stone Road, then onto Hobbs Road. The cemetery is in a wooded area along the road.
