John Allen Brown, 36, of rural Decatur, formerly of Springfield, died at 12:45 p.m. Wednesday as the result of an accident on Bowman Road in rural Decatur.
He was born in Kankakee, the son of Clifford and Della Heavisides Brown.
Mr. Brown was employed by the Caterpillar Tractor Company in Decatur.
Surviving are his wife, Judith (Boston); two children, Joseph Allen and Kimberly Renee, both at home; mother, Mrs. Della Brown, of California; two brothers, Dudley, of Decatur; and Dale, of Kerns, Utah; two sisters, Mrs. Fred (Mary Jane) Beatty; and Mrs. William (Marcella) Collier, of Garden Grove, Calif.
Services were at the Brintlinger-Pershing Funeral Home in Decatur.
Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery, Springfield.
