Katie C. Hopkins, 81, Moberly, Mo., died Sunday, Sept. 8, at North Village Park (Nursing Home).
She was born Sept. 25, 1903 in Gordon, Iowa, to Michael Elmer and Bertha Jacobs Melaney, and married Frank Hopkins on Sept. 27, 1927 in Moberly. She was a member of the East Logan Street Church of Christ in Moberly.
Mrs. Hopkins was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sister, Bertha E. Pollard; and three brothers, Michael E., Charles, and an infant brother.
Surviving are a son, Emanuel Hopkins, Moberly, daughter, Mrs. Robert Polson, Jacksonville, five sisters, Mrs. Pauline Tabor, Moberly; Mrs. George Hogan, Paris; Mrs. Waldo Jones, Arkansas; Mrs. Bessie Elgin, Tulon, Ill; and Mrs. Edna Martorina, Roseville, Michigan; nini grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Burial in Oakland Cemetery, Moberly.
