Mrs. Emma H. Devine, 77, of 486 Ryan Ave., a former grocery store operator at 484 Ryan Ave. died Sunday in Mt. Carmel Hospital. A native of Cincinnati, she retired four years ago after 33 years as owner of the grocery store here.

Surviving are two sons, Robert and Thomas; three grandchildren and a brother, Edward Terlinda.

Service will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday in St. Aloysius Catholic Church. Friends may call at the Egan-Ryan funeral home. Burial will be in St. Joseph's.

Note- She started the grocery store with money given to her and her husband after he lost both his forearms in an accident while at his work as a railroad worker when a heavy work tool box lid fell shut on both his arms.The grocery store was near where Central Point Shopping center is today, and they went out of business after the shopping center opened there.
