Dorothy Pauline Winter, 94, passed away March 28, 2018. She was born December 16, 1923 to Ethel and Sherwood Adams. She graduated from Houston's Milby High School in 1941. On May 31, 1941, she married Siegfried Winter and they established their home in Houston, Texas. They had five beautiful daughters and as her children grew, Dorothy was a co-leader in Girl Scouts and taught Sunday School at Temple Methodist Church. Dorothy worked as a cashier/trainer at Weingarten's Grocery Store for 10 years and in their retirement years, Dorothy and Sieg loved to travel and took pride in showing roses from their beautiful rose garden. She was a long-time Houston Rose Society member and was a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church of Pasadena. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Siegfried Winter. Dorothy is survived by her five daughters and their husbands; 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter.
Services will be at 11:00 am Monday, April 2, 2018 with burial to follow at Forest Park Lawndale.
