STATESVILLE, N.C. - Lucille Josephine Lohri, 92 of Statesville, N.C., died at her residence on Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2013, following a brief illness.

Burial will follow in Columbiana County Memorial Park.

LOHRI, LUCILLE JOSEPHINE 92 of Statesville, NC died at her residence on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 following a brief illness. She was born in East Liverpool, OH on August 26, 1921 and was a daughter of the late Joseph and Bertha (Bailey) Adams. Living most of her life in the Ohio area, she moved to Florida in 1972 and then to North Carolina in 2006, Mrs. Lohri was a graduate of East Liverpool High School and was active in the Eastern Star. While living in East Liverpool, she worked as a finisher for the former T S & T Pottery and Hall China. Her husband, John E. Lohri, whom she married on February 5, 1951 died on January 11, 2006. Mrs. Lohri is survived by two sons: Joseph Eddie Barnhart of Beloit, OH and John Eugene Lohri of Orlando, FL; one daughter: Arvella Lohri-Oglesby of Statesville, NC; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters. Services will be held at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes at 15872 St. Clair Ave., Calcutta, OH 43920 on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at 1:00 PM with Pastor William Wagner of Pleasant Heights Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Columbiana County Memorial Park. The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home in Calcutta on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 two hours prior to the service from 11:00AM-1:00PM.
