Tetiana "Kate" Kokoiac Baran Genik was born in a town named as "Bazar, Chortkiw" in the family records, a part of the province of Galicia in the then Austrian Empire. The most common interpretation of this place name in a modern reference is to Bazar, Kosiv, Ivano-Frankivs'ka, Ukraine (48.3174005, 25.0881455). There, she was married to her first husband, known in Canada as John Baran (about 1868 to 1913).
She came to Canada with her young family in about 1897 and they settled in Manitoba, though the ground was never broken on their homestead. Tetiana left her husband to escape his abusive behaviour. Following John's death, she married Nickola "Nikolaj Nicholas" Genik, taking on the role of step-mother to his young children from his own second marriage. They also had one child together. They had one child together.
Following Nikolaj's death, Tetiana moved to the Toronto area to be with her daughter.
~~
She married "John Baran" February 4 1896, in Bazar, Ternopil Oblast in house #123. He died on may 20th 1913 by hanging.
After her first husbands death she married Nikola Genik on August 6th 1914.

NOTE: According to Find A Grave Al Rempel Find a Grave ID 50051961, the above Bio Information provided by a family member is not correct as well as the birth location which they explained in the Bio Information. I declined his edit. Below are his feelings on the subject:
Suggested edit:"What you call a "family member" is a very distantly related person, and that doesn't matter at all, that sentence is still garbage. The coordinates take one to Kosiv, there is no place in the Kosiv district named Bazar or anything remotely similar, and Kosiv is more than 50 miles from Bazar, Chortkivs'kyi district, Ternopil Oblast, Ukraine, which is her birthplace."
I received a 2nd message due to not accepting the Edit and got this Suggested edit: What you have is not "data", it is nonsense.
