Mrs M E Bronson

Denmark, Jan 24 [1914] - The sad news reached Denmark Saturday afternoon, January 24, of the death of Mrs M E Bronson at the home of her sister, Mrs Eugenia Cleckley, at Cope. Mrs Bronson, whose home was in Denmark with her son in law, H B Rice, had gone a few weeks ago on a visit to her sister, where she was soon taken sick with pneumonia. For 25 years she had made her home with Mr Rice, after the death of her daughter, helping Mr Rice with his large family of children, who now mourn her loss. These are: Mrs W E Cole, Florence; Mrs Gedny Brown, Florence; Mrs W E Osteen, Florence; Mrs Tarentine, Birmingham, Alabama; Miss Bettie Fogle, Denmark; Miss Hattie Rice, Denmark; and Harry B Rice, Denmark. She leaves also to mourn her death three sisters, Mrs Eugenia Cleckley, Cope; Mrs Annie Faust, Columbia and Mrs Addell Brabham, Allendale. Mrs Bronson died near the home of her childhood and was buried Sunday afternoon, January 25, in the family burying ground of old Union Methodist church cemetery, Orangeburg county.
