OBITUARY :
VIVIAN MAY LEE SEE COMBS, 93, resident of VMRC, and formerly of Baker, WV, died September 6, 2013 at VMRC.

She was born May 29, 1920 in Mathias, WV, and was the daughter of the late Casper Lee and Carrie Vivian Foltz See.

She was a homemaker and had worked at the Sewing Factory in Wardensville, WV, and National Fruit in Timberville. She was a member of the New Dale Church of the Brethren in Baker and spent 50 years in that community before moving to Virginia in 1989.

On November 4, 1939 she married Louis Hall Combs who preceded her in death on June 22, 1987.

She is survived by four sons, Larry Gene Combs and wife Anna, of Broadway, Gary Wayne Combs and wife Mary, of Timberville, Donald Granville Combs, of Harrisonburg, Leon Dalton Combs and wife Judy, of Capon Bridge, WV; a daughter-in-law, Phyllis Combs, of Prince Frederick, MD; two special nieces, Vada Miller and Christine Funkhouser; a nephew raised in her parents' home, Orville See, of Port Republic; 15 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, Ronny H. Combs; two sisters, Daisy Keller and Bonnie Arnica; a daughter-in-law, Maria Combs; and two nephews.

Pastors Ernest Halterman and Kevin Daggett will conduct a funeral service Tuesday 11 AM at New Dale Church of the Brethren. Burial will follow in New Dale Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday from 6-8 PM at the Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway.
