Glenda Diane Owens Peters, 69, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died September 6, 2013, at Phoebe Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald, Georgia.

Funeral services will be held 2 P.M., Sunday, September 8, 2013, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald with the Rev. David Clark officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 Saturday evening at the funeral home.

Mrs. Peters was born on June 27, 1944, in Irwin County to the late Thomas Bryant and Avis Labelle Richardson Owens. She was a homemaker, enjoying making her house a home. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and sister. She was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church in Wilcox County.

Survivors include son: Randy (Melissa) Peters of Wilcox County; daughters: Donna (William) Hutchinson of Fitzgerald and Tammie Lynn (Lee) Martin of Wilcox County; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters: Barbara Bridges of Cordele and Eva (David) Jackson of Austell; brothers: Donald Owens of Wilcox County and Frank Owens of Fitzgerald. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Randall H. Peters; one sister; and two brothers.
