GASTONIA - Margie Flowers Bowers, 79, passed away peacefully Aug. 14, 2008, at the Robin Johnson Hospice House.

She was a native of Cleveland County, daughter of the late Robert R. Flowers and Mary Brannon Flowers.

Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia and other times at the home of Debbie and Todd Bolin.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday at Friendship Baptist Church.

Interment is at Gaston Memorial Park.

Mrs. Bowers was a resident of Gaston Manor and a member of Friendship Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Nellie Mae Millen Sunday School Class and the Ladies Circle.

Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Todd Bolin of Belmont, Johnnie and Dale Beaver of Clover, S.C., and Cathy and Kerry Drake of Acworth, Ga.; daughter-in-law, Peggy Bowers of Smyrna, S.C.; brother, Harold Flowers of Kings Mountain; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Bowers; son, Bobby Bowers; and sister, Grace Bumgardner.

The Revs. Virgil Harper and Bruce Huffstetler will be officiating.
