Clara Exa Dale was the elder daughter of William Thomas Dale and Eva (Borroum) Dale. Her family all called her "Nanny" White.

Clara married William Lemuel White on 7 January 1909, when she was apparently still 17. Her husband was 17 years her senior. She was the mother of: William Dale White, Pearl Adelia White, Virginia White, and Douglas Eugene "Buddy" White. For many years in her later life she lived in the household of her daughter Pearl in San Antonio. Nanny White died on 27 September 1990, and is interred in Oak Grove Cemetery with her husband.

Please note that the lot numbers that we are using in this cemetery are per the survey done in 1983 by Sammy Tise. They are not the original lot numbers assigned by the cemetery."
