Harold Jobe, Sr., departed this life and entered Heaven's gate on Tuesday, March 2, 2011. He was a lifelong resident of Sullivan Co. and served 10 years in the United States National Guard. Mr. Jobe worked as a construction worker and retired from JA Street Construction. Mr. Jobe was preceded in death by his mother and father, Elmer Clyde and Mary Catherine Jobe and a brother Clyde Elmer Jobe.


He is survived by:


His loving wife of 12 years: Violet


Sister: Margaret Wheeler of Blountville, TN


Three sons and three daughters: Harold Jobe, Jr. of Bristol, Larry Widener of Bristol, Darrell Widener and Angie of Claremont, NC, Donett Slagle and husband Alan of Bristol, Diane Conner and husband Ronnie of Oxford, MS, Michele Howington and husband Duke of Bristol, TN

A graveside service for Mr. Jobe will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 5, 2011 at Morning View Cemetery with Rev. L.D. Lane officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Bristol VFW Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Friday, March 4, 2011 at Weaver Funeral Home.
