Mother Freddie Adams, 85, affectionately known as "Mother Adams", passed away at the University of Kansas Hospital on September 1, 2013.
She was born on December 18, 1927 in Sunflower, Mississippi. Her parents, Allie and Simora Harrison preceded her in death. Freddie was an only child and bragged about how she was spoiled and loved it.
While Freddie had no children, she had a ton of god children and El kids (El Shaddai children) who loved her.
In 1943, she moved to Kansas City, Missouri where she worked at Centerpoint and Providence Hospital as a surgical technician and later retired from the Missouri Gas Service Company.
Freddie accepted Christ at an early age, and over the years worshipped at the Barker Temple COGIC, Evangelistic Temple COGIC, Holy Temple COGIC and New Covenant COGIC. In 2004, Mother Adams joined the El Shaddai Family Worship Center under the leadership of Pastor Marvin Jackson, where she served faithfully as one of the Church Mothers until her passing. Mother Adams will be greatly missed by her church family and the Kansas City church community. She leaves to cherish her memory: a loving cousin, Queen Mother McFarlane; special friend, Mother Lula Gratten; godchildren, Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Davis, Missionary Audra Jordan, Brother Parrus Eubanks and a host of church family and friends.
Funeral services will be Monday, September 9, at 11:00 a.m. at El Shaddai International Ministries. Interment Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the church. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors.
