Mrs. Noble was born to the late George and Elizabeth (Stevens) Emery and moved to Naugatuck during her childhood. She was educated in local schools and was a graduate of Ryder College in New Jersey. She had formerly worked at the U.S. Rubber Co. many years ago. Mrs. Noble was a communicant of St. Michael's Episcopal Church where she a member of the Episcopal Church Women, volunteering at the Lenten Bakeries and a member of the Village Green Fair Committee. She was a volunteer at the Waterbury Hospital and the Naugatuck Chapter of the American Red Cross, doing driving for the Motor Services. She was also a member of the Waterbury Country Club an the Waterbury Club. Her hobbies included, bridge, golf, bowling, gardening and travel.
Besides her husband of over 50 years, she leaves a son, Edward S. Noble, Jr. of Essex; a daughter, Pamela Noble Hewitt of Naugatuck; a sister, Margaret Lehman of Summerdale, NJ; five grandchildren, Carrie Hewitt, and Bill Hewitt of Naugatuck, and Diana Noble, Edward S. Noble, III, and Elaina Noble all of Essex; five nieces and a nephew and several grand-nieces and grand-nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Sarah Brown, formerly of Middlebury.
