Mildred Gottesburen was the daughter of Alonzo C. and Eva Jane Locke.
She battled with pancreatic cancer.
She moved from the Bolivar area to Kansas City, KS, in the early 1940s and married Joseph B. Gottesburen January 10, 1944. He preceded her in death in 1984. She was a member of the Half Way Missionary Baptist church and was attending Victory Assembly of God in Bonner Springs. She was employed by the Darby Corp. from 1952 until 1981, later working and retiring from the Dana Corp. in 1991. She was a former member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority and served as the secretary to the Majestic Place Homeowners’ Association.
Memorial contributions were made to Cancer Action or Kansas City Hospice.
