The life of Daniel Silas Buck, 22, was cut short when he died unexpectedly Monday, Sept. 2, 2013, in Richmond, Virginia.

He was born at Des Arc on Sept. 8, 1990 to Jeffrey A. Buck and Mona E. Buck.

He was a 2009 graduate of Des Arc High School.

Daniel had made a lot of plans for his life and the future. He went to Virginia two years ago to reside with a brother.

He loved all sports, especially football and basketball and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a motorcycle enthusiast, loved dogs and being with friends.

However, his family came first with him and they will miss him very much.

Daniel was a member of the Lakeside Missionary Baptist Church in Des Arc and was a true believer in Jesus Christ.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Donovan Buck.

Survivors include his parents; four brothers, Jeffery (Stelina) Buck, Joel (Amanda) Buck, and Nathan Buck, of Des Arc, and Brandon (Meagan) Buck of Richmond, Va.; two nephews, and a number of other relatives and numerous friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, Sept. 7, from 11 a. m. to 1 p. m. at Garth Funeral Home in Des Arc. Graveside services will follow at 2 p. m. at the Oakland Cemetery in DeValls Bluff.

Pallbearers will be Jeffery A. Buck, Jeffery D. Buck, Nathan Buck, Joel Buck, Brandon Alexander and Ronnie Roland.
