FLETCHER, LESTER MITCHEL, of Fanning Springs died Saturday at the Tri-County Nursing Home after a brief illness. He was 83. Born in Bell, Mr. Fletcher moved to Fanning Springs from Chiefland about five years ago. A Miami resident for about 34 years, he was a heavy equipment operator for the Tropical Park Race Track in Miami before retiring. He was a member of the Joppa Baptist Church in Chiefland. Survivors include his daughter, Nina Fletcher of Trenton; two granddaughters, Diana Stephens of Chiefland and Ginger DeWees of Bell; a grandson, Jimmy Jones of Trenton; and seven great-grandchildren.
