Sarah Ellene Frazier, 30, of Midland, died early Saturday morning, Oct. 1, 2011, at her parents' home in Midland from a malignant brain tumor.

She was born June 20, 1981, in Midland. Sarah attended Midland schools, graduating from Midland High School in 1999. She attended Grand Valley State University, graduating from there in 2003. Sarah had a love for baseball and interned with the Houston Astros while attending college. After graduating college, Sarah moved to Kinston, N.C., where she went to work for the Kinston Indians Minor League Baseball Team. She then moved to Lexington, Ky. and worked for the Lexington Legends Minor League Baseball Team. Sarah had also worked for the MS Society in Lexington, Ky. It was in Lexington that she met her fiancé, Dennis Moody, who died unexpectedly from a blood clot in 2008. Sarah also worked for the Whitecaps Minor League Baseball Team. She returned to Midland in May 2011 because of her illness.

Sarah is survived by her mother and father, Rev. Lyn and Kevin Frazier of Midland; one brother, Matt (Heather) Frazier of Midland; nephew, Corbin (who is a freaking genius); grandparents, Ellene Francis of Waynesville, N.C., and Ray and Kitty Frazier of Midland; aunt and uncle, Vicki and Chuck Francis; cousins, Kyle and Chris Francis, and Kelsey (Andrew) Shepherd; and by her dog, Zoe, whom she loved very much. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Pink Francis in 2001.
