James Michael Honeycutt, 89, passed away Saturday, September 19, 1964 at the home of his son, Jonah Honeycutt. He had been in ill health for 2 years. He was a lifelong resident of Scott County and a member of the Baptist Church. He is survived by 4 daughters, Mrs. Janie Cross of Elk Valley, Tennessee, Mrs. Mary Ann Yaden of Indiana, Mrs. Flora Lee Thomas of Covington, Kentucky, Mrs. Daisy York of Route 1, Helenwood, Tennessee; 4 sons, George Honeycutt, Robbins, Tennessee, Elvin Honeycutt, Norma, Tennessee, John Honeycutt, Covington, Kentucky; Jonah Honeycutt, Route 1, Oneida, Tennessee; a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted 10 a.m. Monday, September 21, 1964 from the Fairview Baptist Church with Rev. John Riley Byrd and James Jeffers officiating. Interment followed in the Rector Cemetery.
