Obituary:

At the family residence about 6 miles north of Salem, at 11 p.m., Wednesday, Arpil 1, 1891, Mrs J. J. Booth, aged about 34 years. The deceased and her family arrived in Oregon about a year ago from Nebraska. She leaves a husband and one child to mourn her death. The remains will be buried in the Rural cemetery at 10 o'clock this morning.

Evangeline Rice married John J. Booth on 10 January 1882 in Saline county, Nebraska. Their first child was an infant daughter who died 13 Feb 1883 at the age of 3 days and is buried in the Riverside Cemetery in Crete, Saline county, Nebraska. They had one son, William Sumner Booth, born 31 December 1884 at Saline county, Nebraska.

In 23 Nov. 1892, John Booth married Evangeline's sister, Orilla Ellen Rice. THe family can be found in the 1900 California census in Alemeda, California. Orilla later moved back to Nebraska. Orilla is buried in Elgin, Nebraska.
