He was born Feb. 1, 1979, in Oak Ridge, son of Kathy Hicks Johnston.
Mr. Hicks worked in construction and was of the Baptist Faith. He was very family oriented and his kids were dearly loved by him.
He is survived by his son, Jason Hicks II of Crossville; daughter, Haley Hicks of Crossville; mother, Kathy Johnston of Crossville; step-father, Kevin Johnston; fiancée, Amy Howell of Clinton; sister, Amanda Rollo (Brendan) of Riceville; brothers, Kevin Lane Johnston and Andrew Johnston, both of Crossville; grandparents, Bill and Carol Johnston of Crossville; uncles, Mark Hicks of Oak Ridge, Mike Hicks (Connie) of Olivers Springs, James Hicks of Alcoa, Danny Johnston (Wendy) and Jim Johnston of Crossville; Kimberly King of Knoxville; and long-time friend, Don Gilley of Crossville.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Chester and Dixie (Ragsdale) Hicks.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Lane Johnston, Brendan Rollo, Don Gilley, Thomas Powell II, Danny Johnston and Mark Hicks.
