Mrs. Cynthia E. Bridges, 77, of 308 East St. Louis Street, Lebanon, died at 6:55 p.m. Saturday at St. Elizabeth Hospital, where she had been a patient since October 22.
A daughter of the late William and Louella Ebert, nee Badgley, she was born at O'Fallon on September 8, 1893. She married Walter R. Bridges in Belleville on November 5, 1914. Mr. Bridges, a painter and decorator, died August 1, 1966.
Surviving are a son, Ralph R. Bridges, Lebanon; a brother, Russell Ebert, O'Fallon; and a grandson, James R. Bridges.
Mrs. Bridges was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Lebanon, the Women's Fellowship of the church, and the Lebanon Senior Citizens Club and Rebekah Lodge.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday from the Meyer Funeral Home, Lebanon, to College Hill Cemetery, there. The Rev. Marion Harrison, pastor of St. Paul Church, will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today. The Senior Citizens Club will meet at the funeral home at 7:30 o'clock tonight. Memorials may be made to St. Paul Church and the American Cancer Society.
