Kenneth Ray Herod was called to walk with the Lord on Friday, August 30, 2013 in Pasadena, Texas at the age of 78. He was born in Thornton, Texas on September 21, 1934 to Jasper Ray Herod and Hassie Clancy. He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife and brother. He is survived by his daughter, Cynthia Fowler; son, Donald Herod; grandchildren, Morgan Fowler, Shane Fowler, Bill Davidson; two honorary grandchildren, Sheila James and Daniel Robinson; great-grandsons, Dylan Davidson, Joshua James, Sean Nentwich, Cody Nentwich and his beloved Snow puppy.
Kenneth graduated from Pasadena High School in 1953. He married Rosie Lee Jackson in April 1955. He was in the US Army from December 1956 to September 1959. He was a devoted member of Glenwood Baptist Church in Deer Park, TX. He loved animals, he was an open, loving, caring, kind and giving person who would do anything for anyone. He was always outgoing and never met a stranger. He loved to make people laugh, even when he was ill he wanted to put a smile on your face. He will be dearly missed.
