PITTSFIELD, BERKSHIRE Co., MA - Mrs. Annie May (Hughes) Messer, ( 74y ) d: September 09, 1936 - wife of Joseph F. Messer, died suddenly this morning at her home on Narragansett Avenue, Pontoosuc Lake. Born at County Mayo, Ireland, Mrs. Messer had been a resident of Pittsfield 60 years, coming to this country when 14 years old. She attended St. Charles' Church. The survivors are her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Francis Ford, three sons, Walter V. and William E., both of Pittsfield, and Gerald F. Messer of Springfield; also four sisters, Mrs. Abraham Doyle of this city, Mrs. John Burke of Danbury, Iowa, Mrs. Mary White of Patterson, NJ., Miss Nora Hughes and two brothers, John and Michael Hughes, all of Ireland. jar END:
