Consuelo was born in Metcalf "Morenci" Arizona, January 2, 1922 into a family of six, the "Huertas". In 1937, Phoenix, AZ, Consuelo pursued a varied accompaniment of dance styles, including Spanish and American. It was this same year, she met her husband of 72 years, Ralph Chavarria, Sr., at "The Original Cafe". They married July 27, 1941 and began a beautiful, timeless life together.
Survived by her husband, Ralph "Chapito", four children, Ernie, Barbara and Michael. She is preceded in death by her son Ralph, Jr.
She carried an amazing spirit of strength, unconditional love and support for family, this her 8 grandchildren and 13 great- grandchildren. Consuelo "Connie" will forever by greatly admired as a matriarch. We will miss her dearly and why our respect and love for her will live on, endlessly.
