COLUMBIA…Ruth Ann Baskin, a resident of Columbia, died late Tuesday afternoon, September 3, 2013, in a Dothan hospital. She was 86.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, September 7, 2013 in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Billy Garrett and Pastor Sean Morgan officiating. Burial will follow in the Columbia City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the mortuary in Headland from 10:00 A.M. until service time Saturday.

Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Columbia Ambulance Rescue Emergency Squad, P.O. Box 339, Columbia, Alabama 36319.

A native of Hilton, GA, Mrs. Baskin was the daughter of the late William David Antley Sr. and Lennie Carol Jackson Antley. She lived in Columbia most of her lifetime. Mrs. Baskin was a member of the Liberty Church in Cedar Springs, GA. In earlier years, she owned and operated Ruth's Beauty Shop in Columbia. She was preceded in death by a husband, L.G. Riley, Sr. and three brothers. Survivors include her husband of thirty four years, Virgil William Baskin, Columbia; four sons, L.G. Riley, Jr. (Janice), Mobile, David Riley (Kathie), Anchorage, AK, Tommy J. Riley, Palmer, AK, and Bobby Voak (Rose), Columbia; seven grandchildren, Joshua Carol Riley, David Jason Riley, Yvette Dempsey, Tommy Riley, Joey Glenn Riley, Clint Voak, and Matt Voak; seven great grandchildren, Anthony Alexander Riley, Jarred Dempsey, Isaiah Dempsey, Jonah Dempsey, Colt Voak, Coley June Voak, and Crystal Sno Riley.
