Mrs. Ada May Amick Betteridge, 90, widow of Will A. Betteridge, died at the St. Joseph hospital in Boonville June 17. She had been in failing health for three years. Mrs. Betteridge was born in Bell Air on December 1, 1860, the daughter of Loandor and Molissa Lampton Amick and spent her entire life in Cooper County.


She was married to Will A. Betteridge October 22, 1890, who preceded her in death March 28, 1934. She was the last survivor of a family of five, three brothers and one sister having preceded her in death. She is survived by one son, Verne K., with whom she made her home; two grandsons, William and Robert; a sister in law, Mrs. P.A. Amick; and a number of nieces and nephews.


She united with the Concord Baptist church in early childhood, later transferring her membership to Mt. Nebo where she had been a faithful member for almost 60 years.
