A memorial Mass for David Edward Long, 80, will be 10 a.m. Monday at Funeraria del Angel Chapel. Born July 3, 1933 in Lubbock, Texas, he died Aug. 30, 2013 in Avondale, Ariz. He was owner of Dave's Pool Service and veteran of the Army National Guard of Arizona.

David E Long, 80, passed away on Friday, August 30, 2013. He was born in Lubbock, Texas on July 3, 1933.

David went to grade school in Phoenix, AZ and graduated from Yuma High School. He worked for Bell Phone Company and Mitchell's Merchant Patrol. David also owned and ran Davis Pool Cleaning as well as a cook with his wife at Mom's Fountain and Grill in the old Sant Drug Store in Yuma. He was a member of Nazarene Desert Grace Church.

David is survived by his brother, Riley Long of Phoenix; sisters, Lillian R Berry of Phoenix, Joyce Hoggie of Stockton, CA; son, David Long II of Shreveport, LA; daughter, Dawn Leon of Trenton NJ; step son, Floyd G Hunter of Yuma, AZ, as well as four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and five nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elva Jene Long and his father, David H Long.

Memorial Service will be at Funeraria Del Angel in Yuma on September 9, 2013 at 10:00 a.m.
