Daniel Joseph Cottrill, 26, of Chapel Route, Gassaway, passed away August 31, 2013.
He was born August 31, 1987, in Granstville.

Daniel was a 2005 graduate of Braxton County High School and a 2007 graduate of West Virginia University at Parkersburg. He was a welder and boilermaker. He had an immense passion for ATV racing and was very dedicated to his niece and nephews. He also enjoyed music, golfing and movies and was an avid Star Wars fan.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Amelia Nicole Cottrill, and paternal grandparents, William D. and Audrey Cottrill.

Surviving are his mother and stepfather, Margaret M. Polino Nicholas and David Nicholas of Chapel Route, Gassaway; father, Marvin Gene Cottrill of Perkins; sisters, Elizabeth Anne King and husband, Zachary, of Chapel and Gina Marie Cottrill of Pittsburgh, Pa.; brothers, Steven Joe Cottrill (Dendra) of Rosedale, Christopher Nicholas and Cory Nicholas; niece, Aubrey Lynn King; nephews, Alexander James King, Marshall Cottrill and Isaac Cottrill; and maternal grandparents, Raymond and Dorothy Polino of Chicago, Ill.

Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, September 7, at Richard M. Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway. Burial will be in Collins Community Cemetery, Stumptown.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
