Linda was born Aug. 25, 1955 and died July 23, 2013, at Hospice of Lenawee Hospice Home.
Survived by her husband, Rupert; son, Trent; daughter, Alison; two grandsons, Tyler and Logan; parents and caregivers, Bernard and Alberta (Malson) Southwell; siblings, Chris (Jane) Ries of Newton, N.C., Gregg (Pam) Ries of Clayton, Mich., Sheila (Jeff) Waltermire of Plainwell, Mich., Bret (Charlotte) Southwell of Manitou Beach, Mich., her mother-in-law, Jessie Huff of Jackson, Mich.; sister-in-law, Robin (Keith) Bisel of Ariz., several nieces and nephews and good friends, Pamela Vance and Yolanda Bieber, plus many more.
She was a Head Start teacher in Hudson.
She had decided to donate her body to University of Michigan Medical School for research.
