SUFFOLK - Evelyn McCrary Goode, 76, went to be with the Lord July 12, 2002.
Born Dec. 12, 1925 in Edgewater, Ala., she was the daughter of the late Graden E. and Gertrude B. Wood McCrary. Mrs. Goode was a retired sales associate with Sears and a member of Southside Baptist Church, the Fellowship Bible Class and the Women's Missionary Union.
Survivors include her husband, Duard William Goode; daughters, Priscilla Carter and Brenda Pulley, both of Suffolk; brothers, Charles McCrary of Birmingham, Ala., Bobby McCrary of Pensacola, Fla.; sisters, Patricia White of Birmingham, Sue Vice of Pleasant Grove, Ala.; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in Southside Baptist Church by the Rev. R. Stewart McCarter with burial in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends in the R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Southside Baptist Church Building Fund.
